Productive weekend!

Yay for productive weekends!!! My protestant work ethic got a good work out this weekend! Felt so good to get some items off my on going to do list. I had some big items to move around the house and it has been killing me that I couldn't do it on my own. Chris and I working opposite schedules makes it difficult to get these things done. Rearranged the living room and it feels great! Doing this task made me see just how fuzzy my mind is. Yeah I can be indecisive at times but this pregnancy has pushed it over the edge. I nearly drove Chris crazy. :) But we got everything situated and I love the new layout and just how much cleaner everything in. Chris went to work on assembling the baby swing. We are now bringing out of hiding some baby items that will take permanent place in our space. Oh the days are getting closer and this reality is becoming more and more real! Next big project is the assembly of the shelving for all the baby items and loads of laundry!! Then I can rest my chubby feet!

This moth lives for just one day, and yet, you will never see it fall to the ground and curse the futility of its existence. Nor flowers week when winter comes. Nor the moon sigh when dawn approaches. We are only ever given just so much. But it is always, all we need.

43 days and counting!

We are getting down to the end!! Excited, nervous, scared all rolled into one. We just finished up our 3 part birth class. Which was so much fun! We had a class of 22 couples and one amped up RN. She was hysterical and really broke down the entire birth/hospital process going over everything that can happen. Our last class was fun doing breathing techniques and teaching all the dad's different massage techniques to use during contractions. I feel a lot better about labor & delivery after that class. Still nervous about it but I at least have some idea of the process and what might happen.

I've been cleaning and trying to organize the house like crazy. I need Chris to move a lot more heavy furniture and go through his giant shoe collection :). Still trying to figure out a dresser/shelves for all the baby cloths. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I need to hit up some more stores. I have a baby shower this weekend with a group of my girlfriends. I'm so excited about. Then I can let my shopping begin. My work bought us our car seat! Which is a huge blessing. All the big expensive stuff has been stressing me out and I've been squirreling money away to cover some of the necessities. Through it all God keeps showing me that he has us in his hands. May not be the way I think it will be but there is more to the story than I know. I've gone from a stress ball to more relaxed in trusting in someone greater than me!

Oh and new addition to the Moody family. Sofia Elizabeth made her appearance on Tuesday! Mom and baby are doing great! Luke comes home from Afghanistan March 15th for his R & R. He can't wait to see his new little one. She is beautiful with tons of black hair. I can't wait to meet her too! So many new baby girls in the Moody family this year!

Many blessings to you all....hope to write some more before baby comes!!

Winter time!

Winter for most of you would be snow and cold. We had a cold snap here in AZ a few weeks ago. It got down to below freezing at night and day was in the 40's....I know heat wave right?! Now that is cold for us. Everyone was bundled up and all plants in yards were under sheets. I'm noticing that being pregnant I'm warmer than normal. Last weekend I was back in snowy NY and it was 14 degrees! Yikes! I normally would of froze but thanks to the heater strapped to my stomach and all that extra blood coursing through my veins it wasn't as bad as it would of been with my thin AZ blood. Thanks baby for keeping mama warm :) Here are a few pictures from our AZ cold snap. We spent the day walking Tempe town lake then on to China Magic Noodle House. This restaurant has become a fav for me. A little Chinese noodle place where the guy stands in the back making handmade noodles yummy!!! I love watching him make the noodles. Then I have a nice Boba tea. I love the tapioca's in the bottom. Anything chewy texture or creamy has been my cravings lately. We are in our count down and getting more excited! Can't wait to meet this new little addition to our lives and the change that life is bringing us. Hope you all are well and keeping warm!

Is Church Life Stifling Your Creativity?

I just love Don Miller! He just has a way of wording things that are just so on point. Is Church Life Stifling Your Creativity? Do what God wants you to do....I think back over some choices I've made and if I had listened to the opinions of others and what they thought I should do. Wow I wouldn't be where I am today...God only knows where I would be and what I would be doing. Stick to your heart and what God tells you to do.

Double Didgits!

Well we are now in the double digits in our countdown to the baby due date! Yikes. Less than 3 more months to go. Time is flying. I'm getting so excited to meet this little one! 2011 is bringing a whole new life to us! I've been meditating on 2010 and all we have gone through that has brought us to this point of the beginning of 2011. Wow...God has been so good to us! He has brought us through a lot. Out immigration trial ended in 2010 yea!!! We hit our 2yr marriage anniversary! :) and then prego. I've been pregnant for half of 2010! That just seems so crazy when I think of it. So just looking back in retrospect and thankful for the good, bad, and ugly that we have been through and just seeing how faithful God has been to us. Taking care of us in more ways than we can see or even know. I'm quite excited to see what 2011 brings us! We as a couple are getting a bit more focused with some of our goals. My prayers have been for vision and some movement in the directions that we have been longing for. We are never at a loss with our far off goals and dreams its just the tiny little steps that are needed to get us there. Being a visionary person I tend to get caught up in the distant dreams and miss the tiny steps. I hope to be more present in the tiny steps this coming year, and more open to the deeper things in life. Wish you all the very best as you kick off this new year!
